ALLIED INTEGRATED MARKETING

Field Marketing Internship | Jan. 2018 - April 2018

Allied Integrated Marketing is the #1 entertainment marketing agency in the United States. With 23 locations across the country, the company has a hand in nearly every major market. At their Hollywood location I was a Field Marketing Intern from January of 2018 to April of 2018. There I learned how to use industry tools and gain insight on the research process for pitching and strategizing a campaign. Additionally I worked on campaign brainstorming where a collection of us developed events, promotional items, and potential influencers to work with. I was also able to gain experience on working promotional events such as private/media screenings and premier events.

BOSTON PEWTER COMPANY

Social Media Coordinator | June 2017 - Dec. 2017

Boston Pewter Company is a 30-year-old business and one of the few mom-and-pop shops left in Faneuil Hall Marketplace. The owners Jeff and Lorraine Allen have been advocators on maintaining Boston’s small business agenda. Joining the family as a Social Media Coordinator, I created and maintained the store's social media accounts including Facebook and Instagram. Working directly with the owners, I have made efforts to update their website which should be finalized in the next few months. Additionally I worked to schedule shifts for four employees, answered phone calls and worked directly with customers. I was also able to create an easier cash out system to accommodate for counting, depositing, and tracking profits at the end of each day.

MASSGENERAL HOSPITAL FOR CHILDREN

SEO Analyst Internship | May 2017 - Dec. 2017

MassGeneral Hospital for Children is the pediatric branch of Massachusetts General Hospital and is the oldest provider of pediatric service in Boston (estd. 1821). As a Search Engine Optimization Analyst Intern my main task was to develop an audit for the organization to use when determining necessary changes for their online presence. This 200+ page packet looked at things like engagement on their social media accounts such as Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube; determined which keywords were searched in order to reach their pages, analyzed the webpages users interacted the most and least with, examined the various paths users took to reach their “call-to-action,” and much more. Additionally, I performed website maintenance by disconnecting broken links, submitting new web-links, and rerouting 404 pages. From this internship I was able to learn how to use analytical tools such as Google Analytics, Search Console, and Mozbar.

BACKWATER TRADING COMPANY

Assistant Manager | May 2016 - Jan. 2017

Backwater Trading Co. is a local retail shop on the island Martha’s Vineyard. This family own shop has graced these shores since 2008 and has worked to better the community year round through local fundraisers and family friendly events. I worked at Backwater as a full-time sales associate two years prior to getting promoted. As Assistant Manager I was responsible for  selling clothes, sports wear, sunglasses, and other athletic items. I was responsible for hiring and maintaining our staff, ordering new products, and counting, depositing, and tracking profits at the end of each day. Additionally I conducted customer service work, strove to keep the store neat and clean, and maintained their social media accounts; Facebook and Instagram. I was also lucky enough to create an ad (as seen above) that was used in the local magazine Dressed MV.

BEN & JERRY'S

Capstone Project | Sep. 2017 - Dec. 2017

One of the ways that makes the Emerson College experience truly unique is that students have the opportunity to work with real-life companies on the goals they wish to achieve. Such an opportunity arose with my Capstone Project, when Ben & Jerry’s became the client. Capstone is a semester long project that only seniors are able to partake in. With Ben & Jerry’s the goal was to present a marketing campaign that featured a new flavor, celebrity partnership, non-profit partnership, and focused on immersing the premium ice cream company in a new target market segment. DARK CORNER DISTILLERY

Public Relations Project | Jan. 2017 - May 2017

Another opportunity I had at Emerson, came in a public relations course with a southern dark spirit company, Dark Corner Distillery. With this project they were looking to see how they can build awareness for their whiskey line Whiskey Girl in the Boston area. This project incorporated specific messages the brand want their target audience to receive, sponsored events, and working with a non-profit. Additionally I developed a media kit to show how a press release on a new flavor, road map, and a pitch letter to the non-profit might look.  For questions or details on what the final presentation looked like please email me.
